Saka accelerates its strategy in automotive lifecycle services – acquires the authorized service chain Suomen Autohuolto group

We are taking a significant step toward our goal of becoming the most trusted and transparent operator in the industry. By acquiring one of Finland's largest companies specializing in authorized brand servicing — Suomen Autohuolto Oy and its subsidiary Korimekaanikot Pirkanmaa Oy — Saka will add authorized brand servicing for 14 car brands, multi-brand servicing, and collision repair to its service offering, ensuring an even higher standard of quality throughout the entire automotive lifecycle.
Over the past ten years, Saka has grown into Finland's largest used car dealership chain and has significantly transformed the used car market throughout its history. At the core of the company's success has been its ability to identify customer needs: Saka's inventory is the most sought-after in the industry and, as a result, the fastest-moving.
In the used car business, the customer's greatest expectation is trust. Saka has built its growth profitably and risen to become the market leader in the industry — with a group-wide revenue of 751 million euros in 2025. This acquisition is a strategic choice to reinforce that trust and continue the growth story by integrating service and repair operations into Saka's own quality chain. By owning a service station chain and actively developing vehicle condition inspections, it can raise the standards of reliability and transparency across the entire industry.
Reliability and presence throughout the automotive lifecycle
Many consumers find buying and servicing a used car challenging. Saka wants to eliminate this uncertainty. Through this expansion, Suomen Autohuolto is an authorized brand service provider for 14 car brands (BMW, Citroën, Cupra, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo), as well as a multi-brand service center and collision repair shop. This gives Saka access to one of the highest levels of technical expertise in the industry, along with manufacturer-certified processes.
"We intend to continue expanding in line with our strategy, both in customer lifecycle services and in our core business. Adding servicing to our service portfolio increases trustworthiness and enables even deeper use of data and expertise regarding vehicle history and condition. We intend to be a strong presence in our customers' everyday driving lives," says Saka's CEO Petri Poukkula.
This acquisition is a key part of Saka's previously announced strategy to expand into service businesses. The purchase of the KoukkuPlus business in the summer of 2025 began a journey with the goal of becoming a central part of the consumer's entire automotive lifecycle. Going forward, Saka will offer an increasing number of its own and partner-provided services that make car ownership worry-free.
A new era in the service station customer experience
Suomen Autohuolto services or repairs tens of thousands of vehicles annually and operates six locations in Oulu and Tampere, with a location in Järvenpää opening from July onward. The company has a strong reputation as a reliable partner and an excellent customer satisfaction record.
"Suomen Autohuolto's strength has always been top-tier technical expertise and a dedicated staff. As part of the Saka Group, we can accelerate this development even further and deliver value to customers along with the best customer experience in Finland — something not yet seen elsewhere," says Suomen Autohuolto's CEO Juha Paso.
Once the transaction is completed, Saka will be able to seamlessly offer its customers all essential automotive services in one place. While Saka is now investing heavily in its own service capacity, the company will continue to work closely with dozens of its current and future service partners across Finland.
