Saka expands into new car sales – starts nationwide sales and service of RSA's imported new brands in Finland

Having grown into Finland's largest used car dealer over the past ten years, we are now taking another historic step by expanding into new car sales. We are the first official dealer in Finland for three international favourite brands: Leapmotor, Omoda & Jaecoo. Test drives and pre-sales begin in October–November 2026, and the full-scale sales and service network for the new brands officially opens on 1 January 2027 at our five locations across Finland.
Set to grow into a car trade giant with revenue exceeding €800 million this year, we are expanding our business in line with our strategy. We are launching sales of entirely new electric and hybrid cars to meet growing Finnish demand for modern vehicles at sensible prices.
"This is a significant step for Saka. Over ten years we have built Finland's leading car dealership by listening closely to Finnish car buyers. Now we are bringing something to the market that has been missing: exceptionally high-quality, modern electric and hybrid cars at prices that make electrification accessible to more and more people," says Jaakko Poukkula, Commercial Director at Saka.
New-era cars, our familiar reliability
Leapmotor and Omoda & Jaecoo, which have risen to the top of European sales charts, have been eagerly awaited newcomers in Finland, and they now gain a strong domestic sales and service network. Buyers get us as a financially solid domestic partner alongside them.
Sales and test drives begin on 1st January 2027 in Vantaa, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä and Oulu. We will expand the network rapidly to other locations during 2027.
In addition to selling cars, we also take responsibility for the cars' entire life cycle: servicing and warranty repairs are carried out at locations of Suomen Autohuolto, the service chain we own.
"For the customer, this means peace of mind and reliability. When you buy a new car from Saka, you get official sales, professional brand-specific service, and a trade-in value for your used car all under one roof. Saka offers customers the full nationwide service capacity of both Saka and Suomen Autohuolto," Poukkula continues.
Backed by the world's largest car giants
The new brands bring the latest technology to Finnish roads: Leapmotor offers electric cars with an exceptional price-to-quality ratio, and the brand develops its core technologies, such as batteries, powertrains and software, in-house. Leapmotor's rapid international growth is backed by a partnership with one of the world's largest carmakers, Stellantis. However, the cars and their technology are entirely Leapmotor's own development.
Omoda & Jaecoo bring striking, SUV-styled, high-performance hybrid and electric cars to the market. The brands are owned by Chery, China's largest exporter of passenger cars. We have signed a nationwide dealership agreement with RSA, which acts as the brands' importer.
"Saka's scale, agility and brand recognition make them the perfect partner for us. In one move, we get to build a nationwide sales and service network for these new brands that Finns already trust," says Antti Ruhanen, Business Director at importer RSA Finland.
Test drive bookings open during October at leapmotor.fi and omodajaecoo.fi.
