Saka launches the national growth program for Suomen Autohuolto

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has approved the transaction in which Saka, Finland's largest used car chain, acquires the Suomen Autohuolto group (SAH). With the completion of the deal, Saka takes a historic step towards becoming a comprehensive full-lifecycle motoring company and launches an ambitious growth programme aimed at rapidly expanding its authorised brand service network to cover the entire country.
Under the transaction, Suomen Autohuolto Oy and Korimekaanikot Pirkanmaa Oy transfer to Saka. Together they bring Saka authorised brand service for 14 car brands, multi-brand servicing and a damage repair business, more than 170 automotive professionals and over EUR 30 million in revenue.
Aiming for a nationwide leader – and new brand representations
Approval of the deal is the starting signal for Saka's ambitious expansion plan. Suomen Autohuolto's current locations in Oulu, Tampere and Järvenpää form the foundation on which a nationwide service network will be built.
"Our goal is to build Suomen Autohuolto into the nationwide market leader in brand and multi-brand servicing and damage repair, and to do it quickly. We are expanding the number of locations geographically and actively exploring opportunities to bring entirely new brand service representations into our network," says Petri Poukkula, CEO of Saka.
