The Rehti certificate is talked about a lot. Its purpose is to attract attention, as it is a transparent look at the condition of a car — whether it's completely clean or reveals minor issues.
How to read and interpret the Rehti certificate?
Right at the start, the certificate shows the details of the partner who performed the inspection, the date, and the car's information at the time of inspection. The beginning also includes a summary of the inspection: which items were checked and what the overall result of the report is. In this example case, there were a few observations, which is why the certificate result is "Notes." The observations will be corrected before the sale and the car will be re-inspected at a later date.
The mileage of inspected cars may vary after the report is created, for example due to test drives, transfer drives, or other similar trips.
From the summary, you can also quickly see which inspection points require attention, along with a more detailed description and a repair recommendation for what should be done to the car. In this case, the washer fluid does not come out when washing the windshield, and there is play in the left front axle.
Condition map
In the Condition map section, you can clearly see which part of the car has potential observations or repair recommendations. If everything is green, there are no observations and the car is in good condition.
In this example, observations are found at points 3 and 7, as well as the rear tires. The following "Systems" section provides more detail on what observations were noted at points 3 and 7, and the "Tires" section at the end of the report mentions insufficient tread depth on the winter tires.
Systems
The Systems list allows you to explore the various notations and inspection points in more detail.
You can go through each item to see what was inspected and what potential observations were found.
The "Note" marking always appears at the heading level and must be clicked to reveal additional details. For the sake of this example, the additional details have been expanded in the screenshot.
The final section of the certificate shows the results of various measurements related to suspension, brakes, and tires. The measurement results are broken down for tires into summer and winter tire measurements, and shock absorber tests and brake measurements are listed in their own rows. In the example car, the rear winter tires have insufficient tread depth. The shock absorbers and braking force did not receive the best test results, so it is worth paying attention to them in the near future.
