Saka's sales data shows that demand for hybrids has grown strongly in recent years, with certain models rising to the top of the favorites list year after year. Demand for used hybrid cars has grown strongly

Demand for hybrid cars at Saka has grown rapidly. In January through May 2024, hybrid car sales grew by approximately 60 percent compared to the same period the previous year. At the same time, the share of purely combustion-engine vehicles in Saka's sales dropped from 79 percent to 69 percent.

The same models have consistently topped Saka's plug-in hybrid sales charts for several years. The five best-selling hybrid models in early 2024 were the Volvo XC60, Volvo V60, Volkswagen Passat GTE, BMW 3 Series, and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
In 2025, the top three remained the same: Saka's most popular plug-in hybrids were still the Volvo XC60, Volvo V60, and Volkswagen Passat.

The Volvo XC60, V60, and Volkswagen Passat have remained among Saka's most popular plug-in hybrid models year after year. What they have in common is that they are already well-known and popular models among Finnish buyers, and they are also available in plug-in hybrid versions.
The XC60 offers a higher driving position and all-wheel drive options, while the V60 delivers the practicality of a station wagon. The Passat GTE combines the familiar Passat's space and drivability with plug-in hybrid technology. In the 2024 data, these three were at the top of hybrid model sales.

Toyota Corolla is a strong favorite among full hybrids

Toyota has long been a dominant name in full hybrids, and the Corolla in particular stands out in the used car market. Saka's 2026 market review describes the Corolla as a leading name among hybrid models, with demand at Saka reported to be at a record pace. The model's fast inventory turnover indicates that suitable units find buyers quickly.
Another advantage of the Corolla is its wide range of body styles. Hybrid technology is available in hatchback, sedan, and Touring Sports station wagon versions, making the same model family a great fit for a variety of needs.

RAV4 and other Toyota hybrids also attract interest

Toyota has been building its hybrid lineup for a long time, so the used car market offers plenty of options beyond the Corolla. The RAV4, for example, is a great choice for buyers looking for something larger and taller than the Corolla. The C-HR and several other Toyota models are also common hybrid options.
