What is SakaCheck?

SakaCheck is Saka's own process, which could also be called an arrival inspection.
Every car traded in with us goes through the process. SakaCheck is carried out by the salesperson and the customer together when the car arrives at Saka. The salesperson has already done the groundwork for SakaCheck based on the service records and history provided by the customer, which may be publicly available or supplied by the customer in advance.

An electronic survey makes sure no information gets lost along the way

The car is then described in more detail through a separate SakaCheck survey. The customer selling us their trade-in car receives a link for answering the electronic survey. In it, the owner of the car describes its condition, including any known deficiencies and faults, as well as any other noteworthy points, if there are any. The customer also confirms that the information they gave Saka about the car in advance is accurate.
When the car arrives at Saka, our salesperson checks that everything promised with the car is included, such as the keys, winter tyres, any charging cables and, for example, the parcel shelf. The salesperson makes their own observations and starts the salesperson's part of the SakaCheck report, which continues on from the customer's survey.
The salesperson follows the order of work set out in the SakaCheck form and checks the car's mechanical condition. If any surprises come up at this stage, they are settled directly with the previous owner so that the process stays clean. If deficiencies or discrepancies compared with the information given by the customer are found, they are repaired and agreed with the customer before the papers are signed. The car is also test driven and its technical features checked. The battery packs of plug-in hybrids and electric cars are checked with the Aviloo battery test.

Everything in order? Sign the papers and on to the sales listing!

If everything is in order and any deficiencies have been agreed with the customer, the car moves into Saka's carefully selected range and our salesperson then draws up a preliminary sales listing for it, which means it may find its next owner very quickly indeed.
During the final listing process the car is photographed with a 360-degree camera, the optional extras and individual details are checked for the sales listing, and any cosmetic flaws are gone through – those too are shown transparently in the sales listing, photographed separately. The sales assistant also records the SakaCheck inspections as done and signs them off.
A broader, technical condition inspection is still carried out by our external partner on cars priced over 10,000 euros. You can read more about the condition inspection here.
